General Physiotherapy

Q: What does a physiotherapist do?
A physiotherapist helps people recover from pain, injury, or movement problems using exercise, hands-on treatment, and lifestyle advice.

Q: Do I need a GP referral to see a physiotherapist?
No — you can book directly without a referral. This means faster access to treatment and quicker recovery.

Q: What conditions can physiotherapy help with?
Physiotherapy can treat back pain, neck pain, sports injuries, arthritis, post-surgery rehabilitation, sciatica, joint problems, and more. If you’re not sure whether physiotherapy is right for you, book a consultation to discuss your symptoms.

Appointments & Treatment

Q: What should I expect at my first physiotherapy appointment?
Your first session includes a full assessment of your pain or injury, discussion of your goals, and a tailored treatment plan. Treatment often begins in the first session.

Q: How many physiotherapy sessions will I need?
It depends on your condition, but many people feel improvement after 3–5 sessions. Chronic or complex problems may need a longer treatment plan.

Q: What techniques do you use in physiotherapy?
We use evidence-based techniques such as hands-on manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation, soft tissue treatment and injury prevention advice.

Q: How long does a physiotherapy appointment last?
Initial consultations are usually 40. Follow-up sessions are typically 30 minutes.

Q: Can I chose which therapist I will see?

Yes, our online booking system allows you to chose which therapist you would like to book an appointment with. We have female and male therapists available.
