Usage and safety instructions will be provided for all rehabilitation programs and equipment. Prescribed equipment will have a safe usage policy to be signed by the user or guardian.

If you have concerns about any aspect of a rehabilitation program or piece of equipment, please contact Richard Higgs Physiotherapy at your earliest convenience.

Clinical privacy recommendations:

• You are welcome to have a chaperone at an appointment

• It is your responsibility to wear appropriate clothing to the appointment

• For home visits, you are recommend to provide a suitable room for the appointment to take place. This can include curtains and a door to close if you wish.

• Written consent must be provided at the start of treatment. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

The data we collect and store include a patient’s full name, DOB, address, GP, email address and telephone number.

We also collect and appropriately store physiotherapy notes on each patient but keep them in line with general data protection regulation (GDPR).

We do not pass on your data to third parties.

These notes are confidential are not shared with anyone except if a request is made by the patient themselves. Please contact Richard Higgs physiotherapy to make this request and we shall comply within 1 month.
